Michael Wesley was born in Los Angeles, California. In 1986, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from San Jose State University in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Manufacturing and Plastics.
His parents met at Tuskegee, and Michael takes after both of them. His father has a degree in Industrial Arts, and his mother is a teacher.
After college, Michael spent decades in the Silicon Valley as a Dev Ops engineer building software. His career has primarily been with technology companies including Ashton-Tate, Borland, Symantec and Logitech.
In addition, Michael builds custom water treatment equipment and custom golf clubs.
Michael has always had a yearning to teach, and has also worked in education since graduating university. Michael started his career in education in Compton, California in 1987. Michael has taught many technologies and has been published in technology journals.
He currently teaches robotics and computer programming a few hours per week at a bay area charter school.
